This week, I’ve been songwriting like a beast: I wrote four new songs. Normally, I write between six and ten songs per year, so for me, four’s a ton. I’m afraid one of the new songs is way too silly and embarrassing to perform in public, but the rest are solid. I’ll start playing them live at my shows in August.
As soon as my voice heals, I’d like to make you a demo so you can hear one of the new songs in advance. I’d love it if you’d help me pick which one to record first.
Here are your choices:
- “God’s Gift to Girls”: a upbeat song with a hint of pop-punk about a pompous pickup artist
- “Nothing to Offer”: a folk-country tune about job-related angst
- “Black Vultures”: a straight-up folk song filled with references to North Carolina birds
Once you’ve decided on your pick, leave me the name of the song in the comments. The song with the most votes wins!
As soon as the demo is ready, I’ll send it straight to my newsletter subscribers. If you want to be among the first to hear the new song, make sure you make sure you get on my mailing list. Use the form below to sign-up.
